Thor Copper Hyde Hammer

the old favourite copper/hide hammer, frequently used in place of lead or copper hammers in the original tool kits of wire wheel fitted MGs.

Consisting of a malleable iron head fitted with one pure copper face, the other face is made from highly compressed buffalo rawhide. All combine to create weight for the blow, while the choice of copper or hide soft faces prevent damage to the struck surface. While not quite as heavy as the lead or copper hammers, the copper/hide hammer ultimately has more uses, not only for undoing and tightening spinners but also for many workshop uses where a multi purpose soft faced hammer might be required.

As with the copper hammer, the faces of the copper/hide hammer are designed to wear and bereplaced when required.
